10 Gym Bag Essentials You Don't Want To Forget To Pack

If you’re someone who visits the gym frequently, packing a gym bag may seem like second nature. You think you don’t need to create a list for your gym bag essentials. That is, however, until the day comes that you forget something, completely throwing off your work out.

Gym Shoes

While it may seem like a given, you’d be surprised how many gym-goers arrive at the gym only to realize that they forgot their gym shoes. This is common, especially for those who head to the gym after work. Instead of wearing your work shoes on the stair climber, always make packing your sneakers first a priority when assembling your gym bag. And remember to bring some extra socks, too!

Proper Gym Apparel

Don’t get caught working out in jeans and a sweater, make sure you always have the proper gym clothing packed. If you don’t wear your workout clothes to the gym, make sure you always have a fresh set in your gym bag. If you do, make sure to bring clothes to change into after. Remember these essentials:

Workout Tops.  It's not a bad idea to bring an extra shirt if you plan to do weights after a hard cardio session.

Workout Shorts or Bottoms. If you don't have shorts or exercise bottoms with that cute little built-in underwear, make sure to bring a clean pair.

If you are like some gym-goers, you may prefer a nice shower to cool down and clean up after a workout. If you plan to shower afterward, make sure to bring the shower essentials you need. Towels

Often times the gym will provide towels, however, they may not always get the job done or be available. Additionally, you may want to bring along a small towel to wipe the sweat from your eyes or dry your hands before hitting the weights.

Deodorant

Keep your body odor at bay before, after, and during your workout by swiping your underarms with deodorant. To help limit underarm sweating during a workout, try using an antiperspirant.

Energy Bars or A Snack

It’s hard to get a good workout in when you’re running low on fuel.
